Troubled waters lie ahead.

So, yesterday when I was driving my daughter to school (she is 7, by the way) she told me she was worried about something. Something must be wrong with her and her boyfriend (WTF!) because he usually watches from anohter table (effing stalker) at lunch and when she gets up, he does. But the day before, when she got up to throw away her Jell-o, he didn't get up with her. *sigh* This can only get worse in the years to come, I'm afraid.

Let it Snow!

My son's first snow. Ever!

See my breath?

Brrrr....it is cold Momma!?

I love the snow!

Ooooo....puppy!

There's the other one!

Little White Lies

We all tell 'em, don't we? Whether it's you telling your boss you hafta leave at 3:30 to go to the courthouse to renew your drivers license even though it doesn't close until 4:30. Maybe it is telling your husband that his sideburns are still in style or telling your wife that her boobs do look bigger in that shirt. I believe that some "fibs" are just ok to say. Don't you?

This morning my daughter was sincerely concerned about why her kitty didn't sleep with her last night (like he normally does). Her feelings were genuinely hurt. So as fast as I could, I snapped back with "Oh, I am so sorry baby, he came in our room to check on us and I closed the door because the TV was loud and he got trapped in there. I am sure he was upset, too."

Mission accomplished!

It's here! It's here!

My new G5 is here! Ok, well it has been here for a few days but I just got found a minute to squeeze in a post.

Up close and personal screen shot of my new wide screen 20" flat panel:

World' Greatest Mom & Wife!

This post is dedicated to my wife. Ironically that is why I am posting. It is because of her dedication I was inspired, to say the least, in my dormant state of being at 3 a.m. (I think) this morning. I was adamant about blogging the very first chance I got.

Odd: the feeling of being half awake and half asleep in a stupor, unconsciousness of lifeless and inanimate numbness of unfunctionality (<-- is that a word?). I feel this oddness on a near weekly basis. Our son, Carter, awakes at the most unreasonable times of the night. So this morning, as I lay in immobilized in a near anesthesiatic state, my wife bounds off the bed and heads for the little guys room untouched by the laws of hibernation. What a capacity of strength that lies inside of her. Of course, this is merely just one of the, too numerous to count, amazing feats of achievement she performs every single day. The cooking and cleaning and love and hugs and working and being there for all of us is her lifelong job.

Her persistence. Her tenacious demeanor. Her love for her family. Her values and high standards. Her success. Her total lack of selfishness. These are the traits of the World's #1 Mom - so I declare my wife, WINNER of the most prestigious award given to a woman. Congratulations, honey! We love and appreciate you more that you will ever know. I am so proud to call you my own.

And away he goes... again.

It is amazing, isn't it? The very nature of how fast children, or in my case, infants learn. In a period of less than five months Carter has learned to coo, caw, roll over, eat cereal, move to his own bedroom, cry for attention, laugh on command, shake a rattle, pay attention to a certain toy, see colors, pull his mother's hair, drink from a sippy cup and steal the hearts of all who come in contact with him. Of course, these goals I speak of are merely simple feats nearly all children posess. But they, in my mind, are more powerful and celebretory than any accomplishment an adult can make. Congratulations, son! Daddy is so proud of you.

The votes are in...

Here it is folks - PEPSI is the taster's choice.
